Why You Should Become A Mentor
If you are passionate about inciting change in your community, PennyDrops is for you. We’re looking for motivated mentors who are constantly willing to go the extra mile. PennyDrops is a success because of our mentors, you are our value-added!
You don’t need prior financial knowledge to get involved with PennyDrops, we provide comprehensive training to our mentors. This is your opportunity to learn about financial literacy and then make an impact on other students’ lives by sharing your learnings with them. Join us in our mission to develop a more financially literate and prosperous generation.
What Being A PennyDrops Mentor Involves
Where?
Workshops are hosted in high schools near your university. We arrange all transportation.
What is the time commitment?
We offer a flexible workload that typically requires a minimum of 1 hour of teaching per week.
Who Can Apply?
University students from any academic background are welcome to apply. PennyDrops provides full training that will prepare you for your sessions and enable you to make smart financial decisions in your own life.

What Being A PennyDrops Mentor Involves
Mentor recruitment and selection occurs at the beginning of each semester. Here are the steps:
- Find your city and reach out to our nearest local chapter
- Your chapter will provide you with more information via email
- Fill out the application form for your university chapter
- Like the PennyDrops Facebook Page for content and advice
- Like Your chapter’s Facebook Page to stay up-to-date on events and deadlines
- Deadlines to apply are flexible. Please contact your chapter to learn when and how to apply
